Wordfast Forward 2027

Wordfast Forward 2027 Sicily June 3-5

A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS

Who's in Control: Big tech, Big Business, or Translators?

Worfast Forward 2027 invites the international translation community to explore these questions together

Originally a conference for Wordfast users, WFF is oponing its doors to the entire translation technology ecosystem.

We welcome professional translators, interpreters, language service providers, CAT-tool developers, AI companies, researchers, tranlation educators, academic institutions, and students preparing to enter the profession.

Over three days in Sicily, participants will discover the latest technological innovations, exchange experiences, challenge assumptions, and explore practical strategies for adapting to a rapidly changing industry.

Wordfast Forward 2027 is not a conference against AI. It is a conference about understanding AI, mastering technology, and ensuring that professional translators have a voice in shaping their future.

Because AI is changing the rules. But translators can still shape the game.

WHEN AND WHERE IS IT?

The 2027 edition of Wordfast Forward will take place at the Una Hotel in Naxos, Sicily on June 3-5, 2027. Please join our dedicated Wordfast Forward Facebook group for the latest updates.

WHAT ATTENDEES SAY ABOUT WORDFAST FORWARD

“It was my first Wordfast Forward event and it was great! An intensive immersion into the WF universe with the best experts and colleagues from all over the world. We could learn from each other and exchange our experiences in a lovely setting. The organization was amazing. WF experts were always available to help us. I look forward to the next #WFF!”

“I love Wordfast conferences! It’s great to have developers taking part and taking people’s feedback on board – and acting on it amazingly quickly! Also, the conference isn’t too large, so you get to know participants (thanks not least to the great social events!). Another point that I love is the space devoted to Mac users – very rare, in my experience of translators’ conference, and much appreciated.”

“What I especially liked about the conference was the mix of Wordfast engineers and of translators present. The range of topics was good and the conference itself was organized to a "T". I learned a lot, met interesting people and had fun. I am looking forward to next year.”

And the following year…

“Thank you for organizing such a great conference. I got a lot out of Varna personally. It was great seeing old faces and meeting new ones. I especially appreciate that the software developers were there. The presentations I attended were all excellent and those social events were just unique.”
